Campground Review - Echo Basin Ranch

We loved our stay at Echo Basin Ranch, even though it was only partially open for business. Just camping amongst the alpine trees with the horses in the field next door was enough for us. Lots of things were not up and running yet during our stay here, but we still loved it and got a good deal. We also celebrated Mother's Day here. Patsy loves horses, so it was a good day!

Nearby attractions - 8 - Close to Mesa Verde, Cortez and Durango.

Staff - 10 - Really nice people who worked here. Extra friendly.

Natural surroundings - 9 - Very rustic feeling with tall pines surrounding you and little ponds all around.

Value - 9 - We paid $20 for three nights for a back-in site with full hook-ups using our Passport America card.

Bathrooms - N/A - the bathrooms were closed for the season, so we took short showers in Howard. They were getting set to open th

em up.

Roominess - 9 - Very roomy sites with a large central area for running and playing.

Facility fun - 10 - We didn't get to enjoy much of the amenities, but during the summer season this is a fun place with a swimming pool, hot tub, golf, restaurant, playground, basketball court, horseback riding and lots of other things.

Cleanliness - 8 - They were in the process of giving this place a good spring cleaning.

Facility usefulness - 7 - Dump site, not sure of other amenities.

Overall - 9 - Be sure to check this place out next time you are near Mesa Verde!
