Campground review - Amarillo RV Ranch

We spent Halloween night at the Amarillo RV Ranch.

Cleanliness - 7 - Nicely kept up, if in a neighborhood that is not so much.

Bathrooms - 6 - Small and cold, the water was hot.

Facility fun - 9 - Not only did they have a decent playground and an outdoor pool, they also had an indoor pool and hot tub. Can't beat swimming on Halloween!

Facility usefulness - 8 - Dump station, lots of full hook-ups with pull-throughs. Have laundry, but we didn't check it out. Very nice "camp store." Free coffee and pastries at the the store in the morning. Nice place for dog owners too.

Nearby attractions - 6 - In the middle of Amarillo, minutes from the Big Texan (you can even get free limo service there and back).

Staff - 8 - Lots of Blue Hairs fawned over some of our boys.

Natural surroundings - 5 - Next to I-40, a train track also goes by a couple miles away.

Value - 10 - Using our Passport America Card we paid $16.50 for the first night. This is only good for the first night.

Overall - 7
