Campground Review - Volunteer Family Park

During our stay at the Volunteer Family Park and Campground, our family did our annual pumpkin carving and devotion when we talk about Jesus cleaning us from the inside and putting a light, His Spirit in our heart. This year the pumpkin has a super hero theme - can you tell?

Staff - 9 - Only spoke with the gentleman who checked us in and another man who led us to our site. Both were very helpful.

Nearby attractions - 8 - Within 30 minutes of Oak Ridge and Knoxville and 60 minutes from Pigeon forge.

Natural surroundings - 8 - Big mature trees yet close to the interstate.

Value - 8 - We paid $32 a night for two nights for a pull-through gravel site with a concrete pad with full-hook-ups and cable TV. This was using our Passport America card.

Bathrooms - 7 - Smaller and slightly older, but the showers were hot.

Roominess - 7 - Plenty long enough.

Facility fun - 7 - Playground and pool which was closed of course.

Cleanliness - 7 - Decent, some seasonal sites looked dumpy, but basically nice.

Facility usefulness - 10 - Fire rings, big laundry, picnic tables, dump station, propane, camp store, exchange library, free wifi. Church next door.

Overall - 7 - Like the price and a good place to pull over for a night or two or for a visit to Oak Ridge.
